ICD10: Nosocomial condition [Y95]

Treatment: Empirical antibacterial *Use Ventilator pneumonia*

Criteria for diagnosis of HAP

  • Development of pneumonia >48 hrs after hospital admission.
  • Excludes pulmonary infection incubating at the time of admission.

Criteria for resolution of HAP:

  • Normal mental status
  • Tolerating oral intake
  • Normal Vital signs
  • Normal Arterial Oxygen saturation
